Corporate Social Responsibility  and Social Benefit, particularly in relation to the community we reside in, is a big part of our business ethos at DT Electrical. 

DT Electrical ensures that the business values and behaviour are aligned to balance between improving and developing the company’s business as well as improving the quality of life of its workforce, their families and local community.

DT Electrical interact and engage with local communities through education, training, sponsorship, promotion, and business activities.

We aim to support the community by providing rewarding employment for local people.

We believe that our workforce should reflect the diversity in our society, and it is great to be recognised for our continuous support.

This includes:

• Fund-raising and sponsorship of local charities of over £6,000 including Queens Court Hospice, Cancer research.

• Donating time, labour, resources and equipment worth £5,000 to a local school, Farnborough Road Infant School with a complete lighting upgrade of their infant Nursery.

• Staff volunteering and fund-raising for good causes.

• Supporting a local sports facility, Team Elite Boxing club which supports under-represented groups including women and children in sports.  They were struggling to raise sponsorship in a touch economic climate for essential works, and we installed a new lighting system worth £900.

• Supporting Sefton CVS ‘Trading for Good’ scheme, a charity that helps local people and businesses to come together and give their time, skills, money and resources to help local good causes.

• Working with Sefton@Work, a Council-run initiative aimed at finding work for long-term unemployed residents, in relation to job opportunities and apprenticeships.
